Bishop Powers to attend Mass and feast celebrating ‘Lily of the Mohawks’
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, on Hwy. 47 in Lac du Flambeau, will honor St. Kateri Tekakwitha, with a Mass on Sunday, July 12, at 11 a.m. Bishop James Patrick Powers from the Diocese of Superior will be in attendance. Following the Mass, there will be a feast and fellowship in the church hall. There is no cost for the dinner. The feast will include venison stew, pork sandwiches, baked beans, wild rice, walleye, corn on the cob, homemade salads, fry bread, berries, cake, and beverages. All are welcome to attend the Mass and feast.
