The Vilas County board’s finance and budget committee on Aug. 18 approved a three year contract with the county’s medical examiner, Crystal Schaub. Vilas County entered into a contract for medical examiner services with Oneida County in 2019.

A recently passed, controversial ordinance in the town of Presque Isle found its way to the Vilas County highway committee this week. In early June, the town board approved 2-1 an ordinance pertaining to the use by all terrain vehicles (ATV) and utility terrain vehicles (UTV) on town roads.

Equestrians bring concerns to Vilas County Forestry, Recreation and Land committee
