Yvonne Dressler

Yvonne Dressler, 84, of Woodruff, died on May 9, 2026. Yvonne was born July 20, 1941 in Chicago, the daughter of Authur Donald Dressler and Emma A. Strey Dressler, who are both deceased. Yvonne and her brother, Donald Dressler moved from Naperville, Ill. to Northern Wisconsin in 1989. They had purchased land in 1972 on Lake Tomahawk and worked on remodeling an old cabin until her brother’s death in 1989. She had worked as a bookkeeper in the insurance and construction fields since 1960. After moving to the Northwoods, Yvonne worked for Calvary Lutheran Church part-time for 25 years and Schultz Building Inc. part-time since February 2001. Yvonne graduated from Wright Jr. College in 1961, obtaining the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award and belonged to Phi Beta Kappa. She is survived by many cousins. Yvonne's wishes were for no services to be held and will be buried in Forest Garden Cemetery in Woodruff. Any donations to honor Yvonne can be made to the Northwoods Wildlife Center in Minocqua.
