William George Zahn

William George Zahn, 84, of Fifield, passed away on May 20, 2026. He was born on December 2, 1941, to the late William and Hazel Zahn.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Janyce; his sons, Jay (June) and Cory (Mary); his cherished grandchildren, Cayla (Chad), Josh (Adrianna), Amber (Rayne), and Tony (Heather). He is also survived by great-grandchildren Raegan, Declan, Olivia, Riley and Phoenix, as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Bill is further survived by his brother, Jack (Tammy); brother-in-law, Ken Appel (Cher); and sister-in-law, Pat Appel (Tom, who preceded him in passing).

Bill will be fondly remembered for his deep love of family and nature. He was a simple, hardworking, and dedicated man, spending 30 years with Briggs & Stratton and 20 years with the DNR Park Falls. He found great joy in reading, the outdoors, and the quiet simplicity of life in the Northwoods. Bill had a love for pets, a good whiskey and coke, and sports, particularly the Green Bay Packers. Hunting was once a passion, though in later years he preferred simply watching and appreciating wildlife.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the care team at Park Manor in Park Falls for their compassion, kindness, and attentive care.
