LUHS baseball team falls to Mosinee
The Lakeland baseball team dropped its final Great Northern Conference game of the season to Mosinee on the road by a score of 19-3 in five innings.
Lakeland youth football registration open
Registration is open for youth sixth-, fifth- and fourth-grade players in the Lakeland district wishing to play tackle football. They compete with other area teams in the Northwoods League. Practice for the upcoming season will begin in early August. The season typically ends by mid-October.

The Lakeland boys’ basketball program will be offering an offensive skills camp June 9 through 12 for boys going into first grade through boys going into eighth grade. The camp will be run by Lakeland head boys’ basketball coach Jacob Jarvensivu along with many assistants and current/former players.

The Lakeland boys’ tennis team held a doubleheader against two different teams on Thursday, winning both matches. The Thunderbirds beat Pacelli 5-2 in a non-conference match. Then, Lakeland defeated Ashland 4-3 in the last Great Northern Conference dual meet of the season. Both matches took place in Minocqua.
Pride Football Camp starts on July 20
High school scheme install and skill contact days for incoming eighth- through 12th-graders is coming this summer. Incoming eighth-graders are welcomed and encouraged to participate with the high school players.
