Marie A. Behnke

Marie A. Behnke, age 86, of Winchester, died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 12, 1934, the daughter of Alvin and Rose (nee Brown) Baeseman. Marie loved gardening and praying the rosary at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Manitowish Waters. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Rose; infant son, Alvin Daryll; husband, Ralph; brother, Oliver Baeseman and sisters, Audrey Johnson, Virginia Hoover and Eleanor Baeseman. Marie is survived by her brother, Norb (Barbara) Baeseman; sons, James (Ruth), Ronald (Brenda), Richard, Raymond, Roger (Yvonne) and Daryll (Lisa) Behnke; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Manitowish Waters, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Following the Mass, there will be a lunch at The Great Northern in Mercer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Marie’s name to Winchester Fire and EMS.
