Bette L. Gillespie
Bette L. Gillespie, age 95, passed away on Feb. 2, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19 at Milestone Senior Living in Woodruff. She was born July 16, 1925, a daughter of the Great Depression and World War II, resilient and strong. Bette was our June Cleaver, our Rosie the Riveter. Her kindness, generosity and friendliness left an unforgettable connection with all who met her. Bette’s greatest happiness came from the 12 great-grandchildren who blessed her life. She will truly be missed. Bette is preceded in death by her husband, Vince and daughter, Laurel Ann. She is survived by her daughter, Beth of St. Paul, and son, Vince (Jane) of St. Paul; grandsons, Dylan (Rachel) of Isanti, Minn., Donovan (Melody) of Arbor Vitae, and Paul (Kelly) of New Richmond; 12 great-grandchildren, Marley Grace, Mahala, Michal, Maria, Basil, Maureen, John Paul, Emmanuel, Mya, Carter, Donny and Teige. Bette is also survived by her brother, George (Phyllis) Pribyl and nieces and nephews. Thank you to the staff at Milestone Senior Living in Woodruff, Ascension Hospice and Inclusa for all their support and care. Private interment will be at Fort Snelling in Bloomington, Minn., at a later date.
