The top two teams in the Great Northern Conference (GNC) boys’ soccer standings met up in Minocqua on Thursday. The Thunderbirds gained a crucial point in a shootout loss. The Thunderbirds and Eagles tied at 2-2 after 80 minutes of play. Northland Pines gained an extra point on Lakeland with a 5-3 win in a penalty kick shootout.
