Two Lakeland senior runners punched their tickets to state at a sectional meet on Friday. The Lakeland cross country teams took part in a WIAA Division 2 sectional meet at Colby High School. Ashton Bremer and Stella Meza qualified for state individually based on time.

T-Bird football battles, falls to Medford in Level 1 playoff game
Lakeland’s football team outscored Medford in the second half, but it wasn’t enough for an upset victory on Friday night. The top-seeded Raiders beat the eighth-seeded Thunderbirds 28-7 in a WIAA Division 3 Level 1 playoff game in Medford.
