Lady Tigers take third place at Northern Lights Conference Meet
The Mercer track and field teams rose to the occasion, with an individual conference champion, at their conference meet on Monday. The Mercer girls finished third out of 10 teams with 87 points at the Northern Lights Conference Meet in Ashland. The Mercer boys finished fourth with 37 points.
T-Bird golf wins seventh straight conference title
The Lakeland golf team’s conference title streak continued when they won the sixth leg of the Great Northern Conference Tournament on Friday. The Thunderbirds shot a 322 as a team to win the sixth GNC meet of the season at Eagle River Golf Course, par 71.
LUHS girls’ soccer team picks up win over Mosinee
The Lakeland girls’ soccer team extended their unbeaten streak with a home win over a conference foe on Thursday. The Thunderbirds defeated Mosinee 4-0 in Minocqua. The win put Lakeland 6-1 in Great Northern Conference play.

Lakeland boys’ tennis team sweeps quad
A quad sweep gave the Lakeland boys’ tennis team momentum as they tuned up for the Great Northern Conference Tournament this week. The Thunderbirds went 3-0 in a non-conference quad at Amery High School on Saturday. Lakeland beat Amery 4-3, Ellsworth 5-2 and Black River Falls 5-2.
