Kevin Bolger nominated to the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team for 2022-23 season
U.S. Ski & Snowboard has announced the 22 athletes nominated to the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team for the 2022-23 season. Among those nominations are Minocqua native Kevin Bolger. Nominations include those active athletes who qualified based on the published selection criteria in the prior season.
Red Robins defeat Lakeland softball
Lakeland softball looked to build off of their good play last week when they traveled to Antigo Tuesday night. The Red Robins beat the Thunderbirds 8-2.
Lakeland track teams finish third in Tomahawk
Lakeland track and field was in Tomahawk Tuesday where they looked to improve upon last week’s meet in Merrill. The Lakeland girls finished third with 114.5 points at the Hatchet Invitational. Tomahawk won with 120.5 points. The Lakeland boys also finished third with 115 points. Rhinelander won with 160 points.
Lakeland boys’ tennis secures first GNC win
Lakeland boys’ tennis hit the road Tuesday night for another GNC match. The Thunderbirds ended up with their first conference win of the season. The Thunderbirds beat Pacelli 5-2. It was the first conference victory for the Thunderbirds since April 25, 2019 when they beat Wausau Newman.
