Oneida County zoning denies new Bangstad CUP

The Oneida County planning and development committee denied Wednesday Kirk Bangstad’s application for a conditional use permit to operate a beer garden at his Minocqua Brewing Company location.

There was little fanfare and less deliberation, as the committee unanimously denied the new application based on what committee members called Bangstad’s history of repeated violations.

Most immediately, they cited his ongoing operation despite the fact that his previous conditional use permit has been revoked. The town of Minocqua had also recommended denial of the application.
