Makwa Trail Fire

Firefighters from Lac du Flambeau, Woodruff and Arbor Vitae responded to a call Tuesday, July 18 reporting a house on Makwa Trail in Lac du Flambeau had sustained an explosion which blew a hole in the roof, caused other damage and resulted in a fire in the basement. No one was injured. Mike Zimmerman with the Lac du Flambeau fire department said Wednesday an investigator with the state fire marshal’s office was called in to establish a cause for the explosion.
