Reader addresses Bangstad

To the Editor:
The continuous nasty diatribes from Mr. Bangstad have gotten to be not only nastier but are painting a rather ugly landscape of our county. What is really sad is that he has become more and more sheltered within his own bias and will not allow others to express a dissenting opinion.

Mr. Bangstad has a particularly high opinion of himself with a recent statement that he feels it is necessary to post political signs, and statements to “bring back sanity” to this county. However, the problem with that is most of the people who are his followers are vacationers. They may or may not own property up here but by their own admission, they do not live here 365 days a year. His Facebook page no longer allows for opposing opinions or responses to his posts. He blocks any of us who have posted opposing opinions and responses in the past with a blocked content message from Facebook.

His content in the past has been chiefly personal and racked with name-calling and other insults. This is the hallmark of the immature bully. What is sad for all of us who live here is that he is constantly pushing his negative narrative as the gospel of the county and how he has to save us all.

I have a message for Mr. Bangstad, you stated that the majority of the population up here are seniors, as a senior myself, I am perfectly capable of researching and making logical informed decisions as I am sure most people of my age group are as well. Stop your insults at us and start your journey to a more mature personality. Get some courage and listen to those of us who may not agree with you. That's the hallmark of wisdom and intelligence.
