Readers oppose Bangstad

To the Editor:

Drop your beads, Polly, this is what we’ve been waiting for.

It appears our peaceful northern hamlet has been assaulted by bullies — the type who, for the past few years, have been threatening and laying waste to some of our larger cities. Why? All in the hope of destroying a way of life that has blessed our country for hundreds of years — a way of life provided to us in part by scores of men and women who have made the total sacrifice. 

Led by Kirk Bangstad brandishing his Harvard degree like a personal scepter, the band of merry minions is hoping to import their progressive tactics to destroy our community and alter our lifestyle. 

Further, as I read the letters of support from his misguided thugs, there lies the hint of violence. 

To whom it may concern: I’m a proud vet, and while I’m not speaking for other veterans, I know there are many who feel as I do.

Mr. Bangstad, give some thought to whom you are threatening —and what you are threatening to do. Some of us may not like it.
