William T. Waffle
He is survived by his son Shawn Waffle and his wife Nanci, both of Goshen, Ind., and Manitowish Waters; his daughter Susan Mock and husband Orest Dubynsky of Greeley, Colo., and Manitowish Waters; granddaughter Brenna Koenig and her husband Drew, great-great-grandsons, Ty and Hunter Koenig, Three Rivers, Mich.
Preceding him in death are his parents Maude and Grover Waffle. He married his wife Maryjane (Rose), Nov. 14, 1948 and was married for 55 wonderful years. Also preceding him is sister Helen K. Yoder.
Bill attended Goshen High School, Goshen, Ind., class of ’42. He joined the Navy immediately after high school and served as a machinist’s mate during World War II.
After serving in the Navy for two years, he worked for The New York Central Railroad as a railroad conductor on freight trains for 44-plus years.
He was a past Elks Lodge member and enjoyed staying at his lake home in Northern Wisconsin, fishing, visiting model train shows, eating out, movies, news and politics, football and spending time with Shawn and Susan.
Cremation took place and private family services will be held.
