Francine Peterson


Francine “Peachy” Peterson, age 73, of Lac du Flambeau, passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 9, 2020. Peachy was born on June 13, 1947 in Hayward. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles “Injun” Peterson, Sr.; brother, Charlie “Lil” Peterson, Jr.; niece, Josie Peterson-White; nephew, Guy “Klink” Wildcat and great-great-nephew, Raymond Wildcat, Jr. Peachy is survived by her mother, Louise Peterson; sisters, Anita “Sister” Dionne, Roberta “Birdie” Wildcat and Brenda Jo Peterson; brothers, Byron Peterson, Sr. and Bruce Peterson; special nephews, Neil Peterson, Sr. and Chris “Cricket” Peterson and many other nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Peachy is also survived by her special friend, Susie Poupart. Peachy worked for Simpson Electric for 48 years, where she made many good friends, before retiring in June 2013. She enjoyed country and traditional music, going to the Casino, trips to Wal-Mart, playing cribbage, cooking and spending time with her loving cat, Midnight. Peachy was a very kind hearted person and special to her family and friends. She kept her front door open in all kinds of weather to show people they would always be welcome. Family and friends always gathered at her home for Packer games, birthdays and just to have a good time. Traditional Native American Services were held from Sept. 13, 2020 until Sept. 14, 2020 at her home in Lac du Flambeau, followed by burial at Memorial Cemetery.
