Virginia Marie Wissing
From a young age, she was spirited and independent, a woman ahead of her time. Living through the Great Depression and World War II, helped to shape her resourceful, nothing goes to waste approach to life. She worked for Allis Chalmers as a secretary before marrying her husband and beginning a family.
She will be missed and celebrated often by her family, daughters, Linda Wissing and Janis (Gary) Dumke and son, Bob (Colleen) Wissing as well as her grandchildren, Lauren Dumke, Elizabeth, Natalie, Stephanie, and Katherine Wissing. She will be remembered for her inner strength, her amazing ability to persevere and her Peter Pan attitude to “never grow up!”
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Plum Lake Women’s Club, the Plum Lake Library or the Lost Lake Association are appreciated by the family.
Arrangements by Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home, Eagle River. Online condolences may be expressed at gaffney-busha.com.
