James Michael Fleming
Jim enjoyed camping, boating, traveling to sunny Florida, reading, walking, renovating properties and especially loved spending time with his family. Jim loved spending time in the northwoods. He spent many summers on Brandy Lake at cottages he purchased in 1966. He moved his family to Minocqua permanently in 1981. He was a man of deep faith and was an active member of St. Patrick and later Holy Family Parish.
He is survived by his wife Frances “Fran” and by his seven children: James K. Fleming of Blue Island, Ill.; Jeanne (John) Wolski of Mokena, Ill.; Donna (Michael) Tolish of Mokena, Ill.; Linda (Bob Merz) Kaiser of Eagle River; Laura (Daniel) Lincoln of Minocqua; Michael (Carrie) Fleming of Barrington, Ill., and Carol (Timothy) Melms of Minocqua. He was a loving grandfather to 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters Margaret Mary Fleming and Shirley (Peter) Willett and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Della.
Visitation for Jim will be held on Saturday, May 23 at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, from 9:30 a.m. till noon. A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date at Holy Family Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association or HYF Dr. Kate Lakeland Hospice.
