Marie V. Pinzl

Marie V. Pinzl, age 83, of Mercer, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Jan. 2, 2021. Marie was born on Jan. 21, 1937 in Hartford, the daughter of John and Dolores (nee Schwartz) Gillich. She was married to her husband, John Ernst Pinzl for 55 years. Marie loved her home “up north” but especially the time she spent with her entire family. She was the best mother/grandmother/great-grandmother anyone could wish for. 
Marie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brothers-in-law, Jerry Muehleck and Wally Kieckbush, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Arlette Panagos. Marie is survived by her children, Dr. John (Dr. Christine) Pinzl, Julie (Steve) Hoffmeister and Michael (Sarah) Pinzl; grandchildren, John P. (Heidi) Pinzl, Joseph (Samantha) Pinzl, Dr. Lauren (Andrew) Kessinger, Emily Pinzl, Nicholas Pinzl, Kyle (Devin) Hoffmeister, Quentin Hoffmeister, and Delaney and Lilly Pinzl; great-grandchildren, Eloise, Josiah, Grayson, Liam and Jack; sisters, Carolyn Muehleck, Barbara (Dick) Gerbitz, Elizabeth Kieckbush; brother, John Gillich and dear niece, Amy (Bob) Jackson and their son, Adam. A private family memorial service will be held. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marie’s nurse, Amanda.
