Ken Casperson of Woodruff, formally of Appleton, died on June 23, 2017. He was born in Appleton on May 20, 1931 to the late Alvin and Crystal Casperson. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1949. He married Mary (Toots) Olson on Sept. 11, 1954. They lived in Appleton and Ken worked for Charles Casperson Construction and then Buckstaff Company in Oshkosh until he retired in 1995. During those years he spent many weekends camping and musky fishing near Sayner. He then used his decorative masonry skills at their cottage on Bills Lake near Woodruff. Ken then personally built their dream home on Arrowhead Lake in Woodruff where he and Mary retired and spent many years enjoying the Northwoods. Ken's immediate family who preceded him in death were his parents and his brother, Wilmar.

Ken is survived by his loving wife Mary who went to be with him each day at Avanti in Minocqua for 11 months, his sister Janice Beyersdorf, his sister-in-laws Dorothy Alrich, Shirley Singer, Judy Giese, brother-in-law Butch Olson and his nieces and nephews.

Mary and the family would like to thank the staff at Avanti for the care they showed Ken during his time there. Ken's wishes were that there would be no visitation or funeral service and that his body be donated for scientific research.
