Wausau East’s late touchdown spoils Lakeland’s home opener

There have been some close contests and some blowout games for the Lakeland football team. Friday night was one that came down to the wire with Wausau East snatching a victory. The Lumberjacks scored the go-ahead and game-winning touchdown with 2 minutes, 1 second left to overtake the Thunderbirds 27-22 in a Great Northern Conference game at IncredibleBank Field in Minocqua.
