Thunderbirds secure fourth straight regional title
The Lakeland Union High School boys’ soccer team captured its fourth straight regional championship — even if it took 20 extra minutes to accomplish the goal. The top-seeded Thunderbirds beat No. 4 seed Merrill 2-0 in overtime in a WIAA Division 3 regional final Saturday night. That came on the heels of a 6-0 win over ninth-seeded Medford on Thursday. Both games took place at IncredibleBank Field.
