Season review: Lakeland football team came up short of extending playoff streak
The Lakeland Union High School football team had its ups and downs, but the Thunderbirds didn’t have enough consistency to make it to the playoffs. The Thunderbirds went 3-6 overall, 2-5 in the Great Northern Conference. That put the Thunderbirds sixth out of eight teams in the conference standings. Lakeland averaged 17 points per game and allowed an average of 21.8 points per game.
