Lakeland softball wins Danny Mac Invite, starts season 3-0
A surprising run to the tournament crown showed that this year’s Lakeland softball team is ready to write its own story. The Thunderbirds went 3-0 and won their bracket in the Danny Mac Invite at the Hodag Dome in Rhinelander. They defeated Shawano 5-4 on Friday and Edgar 12-7 in six innings and Clinton 6-5 in the championship game on Saturday.
