On repeat: Lakeland 14U softball team runner-up to Marshfield again
For a second straight year, the Lakeland 14U softball team took second place at the Rod Timm Memorial Girls’ Fast Pitch Tournament in Tomahawk. Lakeland went 3-1 in a tournament that took place Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July 19. Lakeland beat Mosinee 10-8 on Friday, July 17 before beating Wausau 12-6 on Saturday, July 18. Both of those games took place in pool play. In the semifinals, Lakeland beat Rhinelander 12-0 before falling to Marshfield, 12-0, in the championship game.
