Going up against new competition, the Lakeland track and field teams learned a lot with a meet last weekend in Bay Port. “This past summer, I reached out to them to see if we could join them for a meet, and we got the invite for May 9 knowing that they’re Division 1 over there, and we would be competing against schools we typically don’t compete against,” coach Stephanie Strasburg said. “I thought it would be a really great opportunity to get in with some new competition.”
