Five Thunderbirds state-bound to La Crosse

School records, and one dive, were just some of the highlights for the Lakeland Union High School track and field teams at a sectional meet in Durand on Friday. The Thunderbirds advanced five entries, all on the girls’ side, to this weekend’s state meet. The Lakeland girls finished sixth out of 32 teams with 36 points at a WIAA Division 2 sectional meet. The Lakeland boys placed 28th out of 30 teams with three points.
