Season review: Lakeland baseball faded down the stretch
The Lakeland baseball team found it hard to win games late in the season in a wide-open race for the conference title. The Thunderbirds went 6-14 this season. They went 4-8 in the Great Northern Conference, tied with Antigo for last place in the standings. In conference games, Lakeland averaged 4.7 runs scored per game (tied for fifth in GNC) and allowed 7.8 runs (sixth in GNC).
