Thunderbirds shut out in GNC tournament finale
For the first time in over two years, the Lakeland boys’ hockey team couldn’t score a goal in the Great Northern Conference (GNC) tournament final. The Thunderbirds had no problems getting by non-conference Ashland by a score of 6-0 on Thursday in Minocqua. Lakeland then lost 4-0 to Northland Pines in the GNC tournament third-place game on Saturday in Rhinelander.
