The Lakeland Union High School boys’ soccer team dominated the Great Northern Conference season with an undefeated 12-0 record. They got plenty of all-conference recognition. The Thunderbirds were awarded a league-high 10 all-conference honorees, including the conference’s offensive player of the year award.

Northwoods Golf Classic November 2025 through March 2026 at Lakeland Fitness & Golf
Lakeland Fitness & Golf presents “The Majors,” a Northwoods Golf Classic. It’s a five-month golf tournament benefiting local non-profits November 2025 through March 2026. Generations Sr. Center is the November beneficiary for this event.
Noontime Hockey every Tuesday at Rhinelander Ice Arena
Skaters are needed for Noontime Hockey at the Rhinelander Ice Arena. They are hosting local skaters every Tuesday at noon. They are looking for adult skaters over 40-years old. Last year they had skaters in their 60s and 70s.
