Thunderbirds pick up wins vs. Medford, Ashland
After having a week off, Lakeland boys’ soccer looked to pick up where they left off against Medford Thursday night and then Ashland Saturday night. The Thunderbirds beat the Raiders 1-0. Lakeland extended their streak of not allowing a goal in conference play. Then, Lakeland beat Ashland 3-0.
Safety the difference in Merrill’s win over Lakeland football
Lakeland football played a rare Saturday afternoon game at Jay Stadium in Merrill. A couple of crucial mistakes ended up costing them. The Thunderbirds fell 14-12 to the Bluejays. It’s the second straight loss for the Thunderbirds and fourth in the conference.
