The Lakeland boys’ basketball program will be offering an offensive skills camp June 9 through 12 for boys going into first grade through boys going into eighth grade. The Lakeland softball team took on one of the top teams in Division 2 Tuesday. Mosinee, ranked No. 2 in Division 2 according to the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association/MaxPreps coaches poll, shut out the Thunderbirds 10-0 in a Great Northern Conference game at JoAnn Scott Memorial Field in Mosinee.

Lakeland softball used a couple of home runs, and one big inning, to power its way past a rival. The Thunderbirds beat Rhinelander 10-5 in a Great Northern Conference game. The win was Lakeland’s first true road victory and got them back to .500 on the season.
