A penalty kick shootout denied the Thunderbirds of a regional title last year. This time, Lakeland boys’ soccer stayed at home to win two games and become regional champions.

Lakeland football came into Friday’s playoff game with tons of momentum. Their win streak was halted against a Spartans team that lit up the scoreboard.
