With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Joanne McGuire, who passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 69, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 18, 1956, in Chicago, Joanne lived a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Thomas McGuire. Together they built a loving home and raised four children who were the center of her world.

Joanne is lovingly survived by her devoted husband Thomas; her children, Colleen, Michael, Patrick, and Matthew (fiancée Katie); her cherished grandchildren, Molly, Liam, Nora, Killian, Kerrigan, Flynn, Ella, Evie, and Keira; her siblings, Richard Reilly, Dennis (Chris) Reilly, Mary (John) Coners, and Regina Hartline, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arlene Reilly, John (Nancy) McGuire, William McGuire, Martin (Pat) McGuire, Marilyn Wallenius and her longtime companion, Lupe, and Eileen (Al) Reynolds; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Joanne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, fishing, swimming, and baking for those she loved. She had an unforgettable laugh, a wonderful sense of humor, and the gift of gab. She had a remarkable ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel like an old friend. Whether she was sharing stories around the kitchen table, lending a listening ear, or making someone laugh, Joanne had a way of bringing people together and making them feel at home. Nothing brought Joanne greater happiness than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who filled her heart with endless joy.

She dedicated many years of service as a Unit Secretary at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, Ill., where her compassion, kindness, and warm personality touched the lives of countless patients, families, and coworkers.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Harry and Elizabeth “Bessie” Firmiss; her parents, Andrew and Evelyn Reilly; her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Ronald Butkus; her brother, Donald Reilly; her sister-in-law, Sharon Reilly, her brother-in-law Stan Hartline; her nephews, John Jacob Coners and David Butkus; and her niece, Colleen Reilly.

Above all else, Joanne’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She loved deeply, gave generously, and created a lifetime of cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the laughter she shared so often, and the way she made everyone around her feel like family. Her memory will live on in every garden that blooms, every fishing trip, every batch of homemade treats, and every gathering filled with laughter. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolger Cremation and Funeral Services – Woodruff Chapel, 1212 First Avenue, Woodruff, WI 54568.
