Linda Lou A. Hogue

Linda Lou A. Hogue, age 83, of Boulder Junction, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk. Linda was born on May 14, 1942, in Berwyn, Ill., to the late Carl and Lucille (Hauer) Gieseler. In 1950, she moved with her family to Boulder Junction where she spent much of her youth. She was a 1960 graduate of Lakeland High School in Minocqua.

Following high school, Linda moved to Milwaukee, where she worked for General Electric for a time before returning to northern Wisconsin. It was there that she met her husband, Michael Hogue. The couple was united in marriage on January 15, 1972, and shared many happy years together.

Linda held a variety of jobs before becoming the owner and operator of George’s Steakhouse and Supervalu, which she proudly ran until 2000. She later worked in guest relations at Lake of the Torches Casino, a position she truly enjoyed. Linda retired at the age of 75. Linda had many hobbies. She loved crocheting, knitting, and creating plastic canvas crafts. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed spending time solving crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her son, Carl Hogue, of Menasha; her daughter, Leslie (David Paul) Hogue, of Boulder Junction; her brother, Kenneth Gieseler, of Hobart; her sisters, Marilyn (Sherman) Goehring, of Hayward, and Geraldine (Daniel) Schwabe; her grandsons, Nathan Knight and Ryan Hogue; and her “adopted” sons, Joshua Howard and Stephen Christesen. Linda is further survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lucille; her husband, Michael; and her sister, Judith (Gary) Zimmerman.
