Richard “Dick” Buhs, 84 of Lake Tomahawk,  passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 5 with his family by his side. Richard Dale Buhs was born on February 25, 1941 in Milwaukee, the son of George and Eleanor (nee Schandel) Buhs. Dick graduated from Milwaukee Pius XI High School and enlisted in the US Air Force on August 28, 1959 and Honorably discharged on August 30, 1971.

Dick married Tammie Rae Kuhl on August 26, 1981, she survives. He worked in retail security and also owned and operated a convenience store for many years.

Dick was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, had been an active member of the Lakeland Ducks Unlimited and the Lake Tomahawk Lions Club for many years. He was an avid bowler, white bass fisherman, traveler, especially cruising.

Dick is survived by his wife Tammie Buhs and by his children James Buhs, Jacqueline Buhs, Janelle Farmer, Jason Buhs and Julie (Alysia) Buhs and by grandchildren Alexandra, Teiya, Cody, Justin, Lydia, Trey, Noralie and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Eleanor Buhs and by his brother Dennis Buhs and sister-in-law Joyce Buhs.

Visitation for Dick will be held on Saturday, Oct.18 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. followed by military honors at the church.
