Emily Johnson

Emily Johnson of Minocqua passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025 at the age of 82. Emily was born in Chicago on June 8, 1942. She moved to Minocqua with her family in 1972. Emily was the manager at Omni Clothing in Minocqua for over 40 years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mildred Dalton, her husband James Johnson, her siblings Carol Scanlon, Patricia Swanson, Jacqueline Kalerski, Joanne Barrett and Jerome Dalton. 

She is survived by her brother Charles Dalton, her children Patricia Fried (Todd Vreeland), Kelly Johnson, Jacqueline Handrick (Michael Bruette), James Johnson Jr., Karen Beyersdorf, Rebecca (Brooks) Litz and Margaret (Charles) Olsen. She is further survived by her grandchildren Jute Handrick, Rebecca Beyersdorf, Rachel Beyersdorf, Gavin Litz and Aidan Litz and by two great-granddaughters Aubrie Handrick and Millie Handrick.

Emily was a loving mother and was dedicated to her family.

Special thanks to the Compassus Hospice Team who went above and beyond in Emily’s wonderful care. 

Emily’s favorite charity was St. Jude Childrens Hospital which she gave to for many years. The family appreciates donations to them in Emily’s memory.
