Patricia C. Cole, 75, of Dodgeville, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Patty was born on December 5, 1949 to Iva Loree Munson and Vance Hundley in Dumas, Texas.

On May 20, 1972, she married Gary W. Cole in Richland, Wash. Together Patty and Gary reared three children: Jemaleddin Sasha David Cole, Colin Michael Cole, and Kjirsten Brenna Cole. They are blessed with four grandchildren: Sierra Hogan, Jared Cole, Jacob Cole, and Liliana Cole.

Patty graduated from Beloit College in 1992 majoring in creative writing and with a minor in women’s studies. While a student at Beloit College, Patty won the prestigious Maki Prize for her poetry. Patty was a creative person. She was proficient in needlepoint, counted cross stitch, weaving, stenciling, making quilts and creative writing. Patty loved children. As a small girl she told her grandmother that she wanted to have a new baby every day. She taught Sunday School for 28 years. Patty was active in leadership of The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild in Oneida County.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Loree Munson, and her brother Michael Munson.

She is survived by her husband Gary; her sisters Marylou Smith and Jolene Latz; her sister-in-law Carol Munson. She is also survived by her children Jemaleddin and his wife Shelley Norman, Colin and Melissa Cole and Kjirsten Cole and her four grandchildren.

Memorial Services are being scheduled at First United Methodist Church of West Allis and United Methodist Church of the Pines in Minocqua.
