LOLA presents ‘Fall into Art’
As the weather cools and outdoor activities slow down, it’s a great time to explore creative interests. Land O’ Lakes Art (LOLA) is offering three stand-along beginner-friendly classes this fall as part of its “Fall Into Art” programming. Led by artist and experienced teacher, Lisa Krueger of Oak View Studio in Tomahawk, these classes welcome people of all skill levels to try something new or reawaken their creativity.
On Oct. 31, “Beginning Pastels — Fall Scene” offers the opportunity to capture the vibrant colors of autumn in a seasonal landscape using pastels. This class is ideal for beginners interested in exploring the versatility of this medium while celebrating the beauty of fall.
Then, on Nov. 14, “Beginning Watercolor — Chickadee Theme” provides an introduction to watercolor painting, with a focus on creating a charming chickadee. Participants will learn to master the delicate, expressive nature of watercolor through structured, guided steps.
Finally, on Dec. 12, “Beginning Watercolor — Poinsettia Theme” brings a festive touch to the season. The class covers techniques for painting a seasonal poinsettia while building foundational watercolor skills, just in time for the holidays.
Each class runs for 5 to 6 hours, offering ample time for learning, practice, and personalized feedback. With small class sizes, participants can benefit from individual attention in a supportive setting. Whether trying something new or refining existing skills, these classes provide an ideal way to spend the cooler fall days.
In addition to these beginner-friendly classes, LOLA’s “Fall Into Art” programming offers a variety of other creative classes, including “Acrylic Winter Scene,” “Acrylic Snowman,” “Needle Felted Holiday Gnomes,” “Stained Glass” and “Broom Making” — ensuring there’s something for everyone this season.
