Here’s what else you need to know about current Library happenings:
• Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1 to 3 p.m.: Caregivers’ Roadmap with the Caregiver Alliance of the Northwoods. Join us for a panel on resources that will ease your caregiving journey. Experts from each “pit stop” on the Caregiver Roadmap will be available to answer any questions you may have. RSVP to the Vilas County ADRC at 715-479-3625.
• Thursday, Nov.7, 1 p.m.: Compassus Grief Support Group. Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Compassus offers a monthly support group that can help. Call 715-301-7218 to learn more.
• Thursday, Nov. 14, 9:30 a.m.: Growing Together, a free monthly program for kids and their grown-ups from Vilas Public Health. Each month we’ll do a craft/activity, learn about area resources, and build connections within and between families. Please RSVP at surveymonkey.com/r/5TSYKXK so we have enough supplies!
• Thursday, Nov. 14, 3 to 5 p.m.: Silent Book Club. Wish you could do a book club but can’t commit to finishing the book? Try out our Silent Book Club where you bring your current read! From 3 to 3:30 p.m., folks can share what they’re reading and make recommendations, then the rest of the time is for enjoying refreshments, relaxing, and reading your book.
• Saturday, Nov. 16, 11 a.m.: Learn to make apple butter. Learn to make this delicious autumn treat — and great holiday gift. Enjoy tasting and take home a sample!
• Stop by and enter to win two tickets to the upcoming HCPA show “Natural Woman: A Tribute to Carole King.” The show takes place on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at the NPHS auditorium.
• Monday, Nov. 18, 4 to 6:30 p.m.: Cocoa and Cram for Teens. Prepare for finals with your friends at the library — cocoa, snacks, music and good vibes included. You can even make a stress ball to take some relaxation home with you.
