Neal was also a 20-year retired member of the Arbor Vitae Fire Department. He co-founded the Northwoods fire prevention committee and presented fire prevention to many of the Lakeland area schools. Neal worked in retail sales at various places in the Lakeland area.
Neal is survived by his wife Diana, daughter Tiffany Webb and her husband Dewi of Durand, daughter T’Neal Morris of Weston, son Tyler Morris and his wife Deanna of Owen, grandsons Carter and Wyatt Kulesa, Tanner and Dawson Webb, granddaughters Piper and Kenli Kulesa, brother John Morris and his wife Sue of Minocqua, nephew Rob Morris and his wife Shannon, niece Susan Kleisner and her husband Teddy, and great-nephews Aiden and Oliver Morris, Colter, Sage, and Luke Kleisner.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Morris, and in-laws, Marvin and Betty Hilmer.
Neal attended Park Ridge Military School in Park Ridge, Ill., and Kemper Military School and Junior College in Booneville, Mo. He graduated from TriState College in Angola, Ind., in 1972 and moved to the Minocqua area.
A celebration of life will be held at Nimsgern Funeral Home, June 17, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a short service held at noon followed by a veteran’s service to honor Neal’s life and service to his country and community.
