He was born October 21, 1939, in Chicago. On July 24, 1957, Harold went into the army post-graduation. He was an MP honorably discharged September 30, 1962. After returning home, he began his highly successful career in automotive fleet sales. He was able to retire at an early age and enjoyed 15 years in Marco Island, Fla. After many years of sunshine and beaches he decided to come back to the Midwest to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He moved to Woodruff and spent the last 18 years enjoying the Northwoods.
Harold’s simple joys in life were cars, fishing, his daily crosswords, and his beloved dogs throughout the years. He will fondly be remembered for his absolute love for people and the ability to make friends no matter where he went. His quick wit and unforgettable laugh will continue to ring in the ears of everyone who loves him.
Harold is survived by his children Steven Schaudenecker (Patrice), Vicki Rhyan, (David) and Lisa Egan (Dan) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Adam and Aurelia Schaudenecker and many dear relatives and friends.
All are welcome to attend the graveside service on Friday June 16 at 2 p.m. at Northwoods National Cemetery 4520 Lake Wood Rd in Harshaw.
