Jack “Jackie” Duranso
Jack “Jackie” Duranso, 70, passed away on January 18, 2023, in Gurnee, Ill. He was born June 20, 1952, in Rhinelander to Jack and Phyllis Duranso. He graduated from Lakeland Union High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Before his recent retirement, he worked as a semi-truck driver for Kirschoffer Trucking in Bristol. Jack was a lover of life, life of the party … if you knew him, you loved him. He loved family, cooking, and spending time at his favorite getaway —  Jamaica. He was always there with a helping hand.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack Duranso; brother, Jeff Duranso; and sister, Rhonda Duranso. He is survived by his children Gregory (Marbella Duran) Duranso; Heidi (Michael Vella) Duranso Beaudreault; grandchildren; Reese Duranso, Chloe, Madelyn, Ella and Brent Beaudreault; mother, Phyllis Duranso; sisters, Roxanne (Jack Ellis) Westforth, Robin (Richard) Vanderschaegen, Renee (Robert) Young, Rae Ann (Timothy) Snell; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and his special family from Jamaica.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel.
