Mary A. Lenaas passed away December 29, 2022 at her home in Manitowish Waters. She was born in Janesville, and after graduating from Joseph A. Craig High School, she earned her X-ray technician degree. She then stayed at home and raised her two children. Mary’s faith in Jesus was central to her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed the outdoors with long walks, cross country skiing, boating and kayaking. She loved country music, spending winters in Florida, and traveling with her husband. Mary treasured time with family and friends and showed great courage as she battled a rare disease. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Simeth, brother, Arnold Simeth, and brother-in-law, John Lenaas. She is survived by her husband, James; son, Stephen Lenaas; daughter, Stacy Williamson; and her husband, Andrew, and three grandsons. She is also survived by her sisters, Janet (Gerald) Severance, Elizabeth (Philip) France, and brother Fred (Brenda) Simeth. Special thanks to the caregivers who lovingly cared for Mary during the final years of her illness. Relatives and friends may attend a memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boulder Junction on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.psp.org.
