Donna’s first love was always her family. However, she was well known for her interest in retail and fashion, which she developed in her younger years working in her father’s General Store. In the 70s, she opened the Fabric Shoppe in the Olde Minocqua Boardwalk. There, she could always be found behind her sewing machine working on another project.
She was preceded in death by her husband Putter, son Kent, and many dear relatives and friends. She is survived by her son Brad, daughters-in-law Patty and Lori, and grandchildren Stacy (Mike Harvey), Brady, Erika (Charlie Miller), Mark (Molly), Andrea, and Kara. Also, great-grandchildren Lexi, Malreaux, Brady Jr., Layla Petersen, Reese and Quinn Harvey, Nora and Charles Miller, and Harley and Louise Petersen.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Minocqua Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care that Donna received during her stay there. Also the family would like to thank Barb Been and Dorothe Coates for their support and friendship to Donna and her family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church on Highway 51 South, Minocqua, with the service to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church or hospice. Bolger Funeral Home is assisting the family, www.bolgerfuneral.com for online condolences.
