Dorothy A. Imlah
Dorothy was born to the late Fred and Elizabeth Wright on July 1, 1936 in Oakpark Ill. She grew up and attended Austin High School in Chicago, where she met Dave. The two started dating their sophomore year, which started their beautiful love story. They graduated in 1954, and married on December 1, 1956.
In 1968, they moved to the Minocqua area where they raised three children, and after time watched all their grandchildren raised. On May 20, 2022, she lost her beloved Dave after 65 years of marriage with 70 years all together.
Dorothy is survived by her three children, David (Carrie) Imlah, Donald (Jennifer) Imlah and Devin (Donald) Litza; three grandchildren, Mitchell Imlah, Brianna Imlah and Charlie Imlah; one great-grandchild, Kylie Imlah; brotherr-in-law Kenneth and Carol Imlah and John Imlah, along with many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, David Imlah; mother and father, Fred and Elizabeth Wright; her one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Bren Wright; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Richard and Elizabeth Bethel, and Fran and Jim Robertson; sister-in-law, Virginia Imlah and cousins, Jeffery and Scott Imlah.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan 12, 2023, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Minocqua, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Our family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses and caregivers that helped care for our Mom.
Mom requested, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her honor to Calvary Lutheran Church in Minocqua.
