He came to the United States when he was 13 to live with his Uncle Carl and Aunt Clara Gustufson.
Alf served four years in the United States Army from October 1975 to June 1979. In February of 1960 Alf proudly became a citizen of the United States. He married Doris Marmo on October 22, 1960.
He is survived by his wife Doris; son Kenneth; sister-in-law Donna KaKavas; Aunt Carol Marmo and her family; nieces Janet Marmo, Mary Lu Creighton, Bridget (Alex) Rose; nephews Jeff (Jill) Marmo, and Joel (Dawn) Marmo and their families. He is survived in Sweden by a half-brother Martin Wretfors; nephew Mikael Wretfors; and many family and friends.
Alf was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, half-brother, and half-sister in Sweden. Also, his brother-in-law Steve Kakavas; brothers-in-law and their wives, Dean and Bonnie Creighton, and Ray and Rita Marmo; niece Colleen (Creighton) Zarda; and family friends.
