Sally L. Christian, 78 of Sayner, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.
Sally was born March 28, 1944, the daughter of Milton Sr. and Otilia (Wagner) Schilling. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon. Sally enjoyed woodworking, painting, and various crafts. She made pieces for family and friends as well as decorating her own yard with a variety of landscapes. She loved going to the scenic areas of the Northwoods, including waterfalls and lakeshores. She loved nature and watching the animals in her yard. Sally also enjoyed rummaging, flea markets, and collecting antiques and trinkets for her yard. Many relatives and friends considered Sally a second mother. She was a great listener and always checked in on her loved ones weekly. Sally spent a majority of her life as a homemaker and was willing to help people whenever she could.
Sally is survived by: her significant other Art Nass; children; Robert (Cindy Feuling) Christian, Sonja (John) Williams, Chad (Barb) Christian and Curtis (Rachel) Christian; grandchildren Brandi (Jason) Heller, Ricki Christian, Galen (Jessy) Christian-Vinz, Sierra Christian, Shea Christian and Justice Christian; step-grandchildren, Zach Lehman, Jess Lurvey, Alanna Behreandt, Chris (Danielle) Will, Mike (Katie) Will, Sarah (Joel) Rennhack; six great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; siblings Joe Schilling, Judy Rux and Julia Schilling; nieces Evelyn Olson, Patricia Brockman, Diane Czerwinski, Jean Frank, Shirley Licking, Bev Stevie, Kerry Lamke, and Tammy Connor; nephews Raymond Olson, Richard Olson, Chuck Healy, Stan Healy, Harold Schilling, Wayne Schilling, Bobby Schilling, Brad Rux and Jene Rux. Sally is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Sally is preceded in death by: her parents Milton and Otilia Schilling; son Darin Christian; siblings Milton Schilling Jr., Ron Schilling, and Beverly Schilling; nephews Ron Schilling Jr. and James Rux; and niece Cindy Rux.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Rainbow Hospice Care for the loving care provided to Sally. Also, the family would like to thank the Marshfield Medical Center-Weston care providers for their exceptional service. And special thanks to the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home for the prompt, respectful, and caring service provided to our family during this time of mourning.
