Elizabeth A. Riste
Elizabeth A. Riste, 61, of Arbor Vitae, died unexpectedly but peacefully at her home on February 6, 2023 after battling a long illness. Her husband, Doug, was by her side. Elizabeth was born in the Milwaukee area to Robert and Betty (nee Bauman) Hebein. In 1973, she moved to Three Lakes and graduated from Three Lakes High School. Elizabeth and Doug were married in February of 1987. She worked various jobs in the Lakeland area and was a member of the Arbor Vitae Fire Department and an EMT-I for Howard Young Medical Center. Elizabeth enjoyed feeding chipmunks and rabbits, as well as taking walks in the Northwoods, cooking, sewing crafts, snowshoeing and canoeing. She is preceded in death by her parents. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 36 years Doug. Per Elizabeth’s wishes there will not be any services at this time. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
